INSTALLING THE BATTERY

◆

Ensure the ignition switch is in the ""
position.

◆

Remove the seat.

CAUTION

Place the battery

with the terminals pointing to the right side
of the vehicle.

◆

Refit the battery into its mount.

◆

Refit the battery retaining grommet (1).

WARNING

Upon reassembly, connect the positive

cable (+) first and then the negative

cable (-).

◆

Connect the positive (+) cable by
tightening the terminal screw.

◆

Connect the negative (-) cable by
tightening the terminal screw.

◆

Coat the terminals of cables and battery
with neutral grease or Vaseline.

◆

Refit the red protective cap (2).

◆

Refit the seat.

CAUTION

Clean the filter more frequently if the

vehicle is often used off-road. Unfiltered

dust is extremely harmful for the

mechanical parts.

Remove the transmission air filter,

proceed as follows:

Remove the left footrest (3): loosen the 6
screws securing the footrest to the fairing
and the support screws (4).

◆

Remove the ignition control lever (5).

◆

Remove the soundproofing guard (6) on
the left side by loosening the relevant
screws (7).

◆

Remove the screws (8).

◆

Remove the filter and use specific
detergents.

◆

Let the filter dry and refit it into its seat.
