To specify the communications port and protocol for your office computer,
right-click in the bottom right of the Trimble GPS Monitor screen and then select
the required COM port and settings.

Connect the Bullet antenna to the ThunderBolt E using the provided antenna

Connect the DB-9M serial cable from the ThunderBolt E to DB-9F on your
computer.

Turn on the +24 V DC power source or plug in the AC/DC converter and then
turn on the power.

The Tx and Rx in the lower left of the status bar indicate the following:

If the Tx blinks, the computer is transmitting commands to the receiver.

If the Rx blinks, the computer is receiving reports from the receiver.
