The display lights up and you hear a beep.

 Press the temperature button one or more times to set the required temperature.  (Fig. 10)
See the package of the food to be fried or chapter ‘Quantities, temperatures and frying times’ for
the required temperature.
While the fryer heats up, the thermometer symbol on the display fills and empties 
continuously.

 When the oil reaches the selected temperature (which takes 10 to 15 minutes), you hear an 
audible signal and the entire thermometer symbol on the display turns black.

 Remove the basket from the fryer and put the food to be fried in the basket.

 Carefully place the basket in the bracket on the inside of the bowl. Do now lower the basket 
into the oil or fat. (Fig. 11)

 Put the lid on the fryer.

 Lift the basket off the bracket and lower it into the oil or fat.
During frying, the thermometer symbol on the display may start to fill up again. This indicates that 
the heating element switches on and off to maintain the correct temperature.

 Set the timer to the required frying time and then press the on/off button briefly to activate 
the timer (see section ‘Timer’). 
You can also use the fryer without setting the timer.

The timer indicates the end of the frying time, but does NOT switch off the fryer.
This appliance is equipped with a digital timer.
 1 
 Press the + or - button on the control panel ONCE. The timer automatically sets a frying 
time of 10 minutes. Then press the + or - button to set the correct frying time in minutes.

The maximum time that can be set is 99 minutes. 
Keep the button pressed to put the minutes forward quickly. Release the button once the 
required frying time has been reached.
  
 Press the on/off button briefly to activate the timer. (Fig. 9)
The timer starts to count down.
While the timer counts down, the remaining frying time in minutes and seconds blinks on the 
display. 
  
 If you want to change the set time after you have activated the timer, press the on/off button 
briefly to pause the timer. Press the + or -  button to set the correct frying time. Then press 
the on/off button briefly to activate the timer again.
  
 When the preset time has elapsed, you hear an audible signal for 0 seconds. To stop the 
audible signal, briefly press any button.

Beware of hot steam and possible spattering of oil.

 Remove the basket from the fryer and shake off excess oil or fat. (Fig. 1)
  
 Put the fried food in a bowl or colander that contains grease-absorbing paper, e.g. kitchen 
paper.
  
 If you want to fry another batch, wait until the thermometer symbol on the display turns 
black again.
