Flash security on/off determination when reset released is shown below. 

The flash interface of this series reads two bytes from the flash security code area after reset is released. If 

this value is 0x0001, security is turned on and access restrictions are imposed on subsequent accesses to 

flash memory. For any other value, the security is turned off.
