Data Collection Browser User’s Guide
To configure dcBrowser for UDP Plus on the CK30 or CK31

To open the System Main Menu, press C and then B.

Select Configuration Utility > Communications > More > UDP Plus.

Select UDP Plus Activate and press Enter.

Select Enable and press Enter.

Select Controller IP and press Enter. Type the IP address for your 
controller and press Enter.

If you need to change the port number (which defaults to 
5555
) to 
match the port configured for UDP Plus on the controller, select 
Controller Port and press Enter. Type the port number and press 
Enter.

To exit, press Esc three times. The “Do you want your settings to persist 
through a cold boot?” prompt appears.

Press Enter to save your changes.

Press Esc to exit Intermec Settings. You should see a UDP Plus icon   
in the system tray.
Running the dcBrowser Client
When you are running your HTML application, follow these guidelines: 
• Use the cursor keys or Tab key to navigate from field to field. 
• (CK31 only) Use the stylus to navigate from field to field. 
• Use the device’s scanner and keyboard to enter data.
• Use auto-transmit fields to cause a screen to automatically transmit 
when data is scanned into a specific field. For help, see 
• Access the hypertext links by pressing the appropriate function key. 
• (CK31 only) Use the stylus to access the hypertext links or input 
buttons. 
• Press Ctrl-P to restart communications with the dcBrowser gateway if 
you want to restart at the home page.
If the dcBrowser client is set up to automatically launch, the computer 
restarts the dcBrowser client when it finishes rebooting. For help, see

Note: If the CK31 touch screen does not work, you need to change the 
dcBrowser gateway configuration on your Intermec Application Server or 
PC running the dcBrowser gateway. You must enable the Links parameter 
on the dcBrowser Device Mapping Configuration page. For help opening 
that page, see the dcBrowser online help.
