Run Program 
 
Description:  Runs the specified program or application that is stored on the terminal. 
 
Note: You cannot store and run applications from the RAM drive (E). 
 
From Network: 
//drive:filename
 
where: 
//
 
is the command to run an application. 
drive: 
indicates the drive where the application is stored. You must 
include the colon (:) after the drive letter. 
filename 
is the application you want to run. 
 
Keypad or Menu:  From the Main Menu, choose System Menu, and then choose File 
Manager. Choose the drive where the application is stored. 
 
Note: To use the bar code labels from the “Full ASCII Bar Code Chart,” 
you may need to configure the terminal to use Code 39 in Full ASCII 
mode. For help, see “Code 39” on page 146. 
 
Scan:  Follow these steps: 
Scan this bar code label: 
  Enter Accumulate Mode / Run Program

Scan the bar code label or labels for the application you want to run. 
You can scan labels from the “Full ASCII Bar Code Chart” on page 
284. The label must use this format: 
  drive:filename 
Scan this bar code label to exit Accumulate mode and run the 
application. 
  Exit Accumulate Mode

Or:  You can create your own bar code labels to run applications by creating a 
bar code in this command format: 
//drive:filename 
 
Example:  To run the application SHIPPING.BIN, use this command:  
//c:shipping.bin
