Before You Start

Before starting the setup:

1.  

Ensure the machine is fully functioning in its existing configuration.

2.  

Ensure the machine has access to a Network with Intranet or Internet connection, is communicating 
through TCP/IP, and HTTP is enabled.

3.  

To configure the system for Internet Fax or Scan to E-mail (SMTP or POP3) you must first obtain the 
following information:

 

Note: POP3 is required for Internet Fax.

 

IP address 

IP address

Subnet mask

Subnet mask

Gateway address

Gateway address

Host name

SMTP Server address

DNS server address

Machine E-mail address

DNS domain name

POP3 server address

SMTP server address

POP3 user name

Machine E-mail address

POP3 user password

 

Note: The device may already be configured with some of the above information. 
Complete a Print Report/List for Fax Mode Settings. 

A. Press Machine Status.
B. Touch Billing Meter / Print Report tab.
C. Touch Print Report/List.
D. Touch Fax Mode Settings.
E. Touch Settings List.
F. Touch Settings List - Common Items.
G. Press Start.

4.  

On the report check the Communications Settings. If TCP/IP is not setup please refer to Network 
Connectivity Tab above and setup the environment.

5.  

Touch Close, or wait one minute for report list to close.
