The Grid
A grid may be set up on your workspace to allow you to accurately place elements.
It is recommended that you always set up a grid before adding any elements to an
environment (or form).
When you open the Environment Editor, the grid will be displayed on your screen.
This is the default system setting, indicated by the selected ‘Visible’ checkbox in the
System Settings dialogue. The grid can be hidden from view.
Exercise 1: Hiding the grid

To hide the grid:
1.
Click on the ‘Visible’ checkbox. (The ‘ ’ will be removed from the box
indicating the option is not selected).
2.
Click on the ‘OK’ button. The grid will be removed from view in the
Environment Editor window.
3.
To redisplay the grid, select the ‘Visible’ checkbox.
 NOTE:
Using the System Settings dialogue and defining the Grid, Display and Edit options
is described in detail in the PARIS Designer Reference Manual
.
