Setting the Image Data Buffer Size
You can adjust the data buffer size for the scanner by allocating a certain amount
of system memory to the scanner. The amount of memory allocated affects the
height of the scans that can be held in the buffer while scanning. Too little memory
will slow down the system and your image might not scan fully. The Scanner
Interface will not allow you to allocate more memory than is available in your
system. If you try to set the amount of memory too high, this generates an error
message.

them. If you are planning to resize a document, scan it at 100% and then use the
Job Editor to scale it. This is a much faster, more efficient way to size images
