  Configuring the system
480 E1 ports and 480 IP ports
This section explains how to use the “blade” command when configuring 480 E1 ports and 480 IP ports.
Step 1
If you do not already have terminal logging turned on, turn it on before proceeding. For information on 
logging, see the 
Step 2
At the tech$ prompt, type 
blade -e 480 -i 480
 and press Enter.
Step 3
Confirm the “blade” command you entered and type 
y
 and press Enter. If you entered the wrong 
command, type 
n
 and press Enter, then re-enter the correct command.
The server responds by telling you how many ports it is configuring. When the tech$ prompt appears, it 
is complete. See

Step 4
Verify your configuration by typing 
blade
 and pressing Enter.
Step 5
Confirm the screen output is like

meetingplace:tech$ blade -e 480 -i 480
This will reset many DB tables, are you sure?  (y/n): y
 
Configuring 480 E1 ports
Configuring 480 IP ports
 
Restart the system for changes to take effect
