Recording and Message Parameters
The system-wide scheduling and recording parameters listed below also
affect time available for the meeting as well as disk space usage.

Max agenda recdg (sec)

Max mtg name recdg (sec)

Max user name recdg (sec)

Max voice comment (sec)

Max mtg message length (sec)
You can also control disk space usage by the way you set up a profile user’s
individual recording parameters:

Able to record meetings?—Yes or No. This is set by the system manager
and cannot be changed by the user.

Record Meetings?
If able to record meetings is set to Yes, the Record
Meetings parameter determines whether meetings are automatically
recorded (unless the user manually turns recording off during the
meeting). This parameter should normally be set to no.
How Permanent Meetings Affect MeetingNotes Disk Space Resources
A user can mark meetings from the Review tab as non-purgable. If a meeting
marked as non-purgable is modified to be purgable, the system will set the
purge date for the meeting to be the date specified by the user. Anytime
before the meeting is actually purged, users can mark the meeting as non-
purgable.
When a meeting that has a meeting recording is marked non-purgable, the
system manages this resource by:

Deleting the voice storage reservation associated with the meeting
recording

Adding the meeting recording length to the running total of non-purgable
meeting recordings

Reducing the total available voice storage amount used up by the non-
purgable meeting

Marking the meeting as non-purgable
When a non-purgable meeting that has a meeting recording is marked
purgable, the system manages this resource by:

Subtracting the meeting recording length from the running total of non-
purgable meeting recordings

Making a new voice storage reservation for the meeting recording until
the specified purge date

Increasing the total available voice storage
