About Multiserver Meetings
This chapter provides system managers with the information they need to set
up their organization for multiserver meetings.
The multiserver meeting feature provides a virtual link between different
MeetingPlace systems (both M3 and PCI platforms) so users on each server
can communicate with each other as if they were in the same meeting. Figure
8-1 shows users on different MeetingPlace systems attending a multiserver
meeting between the United States, United Kingdom, and Asia.

When a user schedules a multiserver meeting, they designate one
MeetingPlace server as the primary server that is responsible for connecting
to the other secondary servers. MeetingTime client software and
MeetingPlace Web provide an easy-to-use interface for scheduling
multiserver meetings.
