Through MeetingPlace Web, you can start a reservationless 
meeting by clicking the Immediate Meeting button without 
entering a vanity ID in the Meeting ID field. 
 
By default, starting a reservationless meeting is not 
restricted to the meeting organizer. All profile users may 
start the reservationless meetings they attend. Starting 
reservationless meetings by profile users is a system-wide 
setting and can be disabled by the system manager. For 
more information, see the MeetingServer 5.1 Release Note 
(part number 0050-0045-01, Rev. A2)

Reservationless meetings can be started through MeetingTime. After some 
people have joined the meeting, you can enter the meeting room. The “Bring 
meeting to order” gavel is down. Click on it to start the meeting.
 
To start a reservationless meeting:

Dial the MeetingPlace server telephone number and listen to the voice 
prompts.

, enter your profile number, then press

Confirm your profile number by entering your password, then press 
#

Press

 to start or schedule a meeting. Then, choose one of these 
options: 
 
To start the meeting now, press

. MeetingPlace announces: “The 
meeting is now in session. Now attending, <your name>.”  
 
To schedule a future meeting, press

To reschedule, review, or delete a meeting, press

To get a list of your meetings, press

To go back one step in the voice menu at any time, press

When you start a reservationless meeting, participants in the waiting 
room enter the meeting. 
If you cannot start a meeting because of an incorrect password, 
MeetingPlace alerts you to the problem.
