Using Configuration Templates
A common administrative need is to apply a common group of settings to more than one system. Configuration tem
plates in Cisco TMS allow you to define a set of configuration parameters to be applied to several systems in one oper

The template can include configuration choices for different system types, and Cisco TMS will only apply the settings
that are valid for the individual system being updated.

As part of the default installation, Cisco TMS creates a template named Discovered Systems Template, containing a
group of settings that will be automatically applied to all systems added to Cisco TMS by automatic system discovery,

Creating a New Configuration Template
To create a new configuration template:
1.
Go to
Systems > Configuration Templates

2.
Click New Configuration Template.
3.
Enter a descriptive Name for the new template.
4.
Select the settings you want to include in the template using the check boxes and drop-down menus.
