Increase Windows Virtual Memory
You can improve performance on all CVP machines by changing the way Windows uses
processor time and memory. The recommended size of virtual memory pagefile is equivalent
to 1.5 times the amount of RAM on your system.
Note: You must be logged on as an administrator to perform this task.
Increasing the Size of the Virtual Memory Paging File
To change the size of the virtual memory paging file, perform the following steps.
Step 1
From the Windows Start menu, click Start > Settings > Control Panel.
Step 2
Double-click System.
Step 3
On the Advanced tab, under Performance, click Settings.
Step 4
On the Advanced tab, under Virtual memory, click Change.
Step 5
Under Paging file size for selected drive, click Custom size and type a new paging file size
in megabytes in the Initial size (MB) and Maximum size (MB) box, and then click Set.
Note: The Initial and Maximum size should be set to the same value.
Disabling Multiple Ethernet Interfaces
The machine that you are using for the Unified CVP Call Server must have only one Ethernet
interface enabled. When installing Unified CVP on a machine with two or more Ethernet
interfaces, the additional interface(s) must be disabled, even if they are not configured. Refer
to Windows documentation for information on enabling/disabling an Ethernet interface.
Add a Certificate Signed by a Certificate Authority
Unified CVP provides two new video components for the Full Video Service: CVP Video Media
Server Administration and CVP Video Desktop. Both componets are web interfaces accessible
through HTTPS. You must use a Certificate Authority (CA) signed certificate for web access.
