Configures the name of the context on the system in which DHCPv6 functionality is configured. If a DHCPv6 service is 
configured in the APN, this DHCPv6 context name is used to get an address

Exec > Global Configuration > Context Configuration > APN Configuration 

configure > context context_name > apn apn_name

 

Entering the above command sequence results in the following prompt: 

[context_name]host_name(config-apn)# 

 

dhcpv6 context-name ctxt_name 

[ no ] dhcp context-name 

 

Removes a previously configured context name. 

 

Specifies the name of a context configured on the system in which one or more DHCPv6 services are 
configured. 

 is an alphanumeric string of 1 through 79 characters that is case sensitive. 

If the APN is to support dynamic address assignment via DHCPv6, this parameter must be configured to 
point the APN to the name of a pre-configured context on the chassis in which one or more DHCPv6 services 
are configured. 
The  command can be used to identify a single DHCPv6 service instance within the specified context to use 
to facilitate the address assignment. 

 

The following command configures the APN to look for DHCPv6 services in a context called 

 

dhcpv6 context-name dhcpv6-ctx
