BITS Port Configuration Mode Commands
The Building Integrated Timing Supply (BITS) port configuration mode allows you to configure an ASR 5000 SPIO
equipped with an E1 or T1 BITS port. You can also configure line-timing whereby the SPIO recovers timing from a port
on an optical (OLC/OLC2) or channelized (CLC/CLC2) card.

Mode
Exec > Global Configuration > BITS Port Configuration
configure > port bits slot_number/port_number
Entering the above command sequence results in the following prompt:
[local]host_name(config-port-slot_number/port_number)#
