This command configures the time duration to wait for a response from the RADIUS server before resending the 
messages.

Exec > Global Configuration > Context Configuration 

configure > context context_name

 

Entering the above command sequence results in the following prompt: 

[context_name]host_name(config-ctx)# 

 

radius timeout timeout_duration 

default radius timeout 

 

Configures the default setting. 

 

Specifies the time duration (in seconds) to wait for a response from the RADIUS server before resending the 
messages. 

 must be an integer from 1 through 65535. Default: 3 

Use this command to configure the time duration to wait for a response from the RADIUS server before 
resending the messages. 

 

The following command configures the RADIUS timeout parameter to 300 seconds: 

radius timeout 300
