3 Turn the MANUAL BACKOFF potentiometer fully counterclockwise for

maximum gain.

4 Determine the outside temperature at the amplifier location.
5 Refer to the

Manual Backoff Chart (on page 55) to find the proper manual

backoff level for the current temperature and reference frequency.

6 Turn the MANUAL BACKOFF potentiometer clockwise to reduce the output

level by the amount specified in the Manual Backoff Chart.
Note: After making this adjustment, do not adjust the MANUAL BACKOFF

potentiometer again.

7 Proceed to To Determine the Output Tilt.
