The TSBroadcaster allows you to set up and manage Transport Stream output. The 

different outputs play out the Transport Streams that are defined in the 

TSBroadcaster. When a Transport Stream is deleted, its outputs are automatically 

deleted too.  
This chapter provides information on creating and modifying players and transfer 

players. 
Important:  Instructions are provided for creating both a player and a transfer 

player. The transfer player is used for the OCAP object carousel.  

You can set up several outputs through the TSBroadcaster. The outputs are: 
• 

A player output defines a connection to a TSPlayer that provides continuous 

playout of a Transport Stream over an ASI connection. 

• 

A transfer player output is an OCAP-specific extension of the player output. It 

defines a connection to a TSPlayer and an additional transfer interface to an OCAP 

headend system to transfer out-of-band extended application interface table 

(XAIT) information when the set of unbound applications is changed.
