Basic System Functionality Tests

Use these tests to verify the ability to preview and purchase an IPPV event, and then 

to conduct a poll. If the actual results differ from the stated results, note the 

differences and attempt to troubleshoot the condition. 

 

1. 

Tune to the IPPV service before the advertising window opens. 
Result:  The PPV events are shown on this channel barker appears, or an 

interstitial is shown. 
Notes:   
 

2. 

Remain tuned to the IPPV service as the advertising window opens. 
Result:  A purchase barker displays. 
Notes:   
 

3. 

Purchase the event by following the barker instructions. 
Result:  You can view the event at the event start time. 
Notes:   
 

4. 

During the event, tune from, and then back to the event several times. 
Result:  You can view the event in the clear every time you tune to it. 
Notes:   
 

5. 

During the event, unplug the DHCT from the wall socket.  

6. 

Plug the DHCT back into the wall socket and allow the DHCT to reboot. 
Result:  After the DHCT reboots, you can see the event in the clear.
