SR 2.5 and SR 3.5 UniPack Rollback Procedures

Three DNCS rollback procedures exist for rolling back from SR 2.5 or SR 3.5. Identify 

the DNCS rollback procedure you should use based upon your DNCS hardware 

platform and whether you have already run the Enable Disk Mirroring procedure 

in Chapter 7. 

Two rollback procedures exist for the Enterprise 450 and Sun Fire V880 DNCS. Read 

the following choices to help you decide.

If you have not already run the procedure under Enable Disk Mirroring in 

Chapter 7, then use the procedure under Activate the Old System Release, next in 

this appendix, to roll back from SR 2.5 or SR 3.5. 
Note:  It should take you about 10 minutes to roll back the Enterprise 450 or Sun 

Fire V880 DNCS using the Activate the Old System Release procedure. It should 

take you about 1 hour to roll back the Application Server.

If you have already run the procedure under Enable Disk Mirroring in Chapter 7, 

then use the procedures under Restore the DNCS and Application Server File 

System and Restore the Informix Database in DBDS Backup and Restore Procedures 

For SR 2.2 and SR 3.2, SR 2.4 and SR 3.4, SR 2.5 and SR 3.5, and SR 3.3. 
Note:  It may take as long as 4 hours to roll back the Enterprise 450 or Sun Fire 

V880 DNCS. It should take you about 1 hour to roll back the Application Server. 

To roll back an Enterprise 250 DNCS, use the procedure under Roll Back the 

Enterprise 250 DNCS Using the UniPack, later in this appendix, to roll back from 

SR 2.5 or SR 3.5. 
Note:  It may take as long as 3 hours to roll back a system that uses an Enterprise 250 

DNCS.
