You can synchronize the session list between the DNCS and a QAM by using the  

–reset option of the auditQam utility. The DNCS maintains the master session list. 

Therefore, if the QAM lists a session that the DNCS does not, that session is 

discarded. However, if the DNCS lists a session that the QAM does not, the session 

is added to the QAM’s session list. 
Important:  Active Sessions on the QAM may be temporarily interrupted when you 

audit the QAM.  Complete this task during a maintenance window whenever 

possible. 
Complete the following steps to audit a QAM. 

 

1. 

If necessary, open an xterm window on the DNCS. 

2. 

Type auditQam  -audit  [qam ip address] and press Enter. 
Result:  The session list for the QAM is synchronized with the master session 

list from the DNCS.
