Obtain System Configuration
Obtaining System Configuration
Complete these steps to obtain basic system configuration data.
1.
If necessary, open an xterm window on the DNCS.
2.
Type more /etc/hosts and then press Enter.
Result: A list of IP (Internet Protocol) addresses and hostnames appears.

On a sheet of paper, write down the IP addresses of the hosts that appear in
the /etc/hosts file.

Type uname -n and then press Enter.
