Removing Spectrum Archive Files
Follow these instructions to remove Spectrum archive files.
1.
In an xterm window, type su - and then press Enter to log in as root user.
Result: The password prompt appears.

Type the root password and then press Enter.

Type . /dvs/dncs/bin/dncsSetup and then press Enter.
Important: Be sure to type the dot followed by a space prior to typing /dvs.

Type cd /export/home/spectrum/SS/DDM and then press Enter.

Type ls -l .DDMDB.LOCK and then press Enter.

Does the .DDMDB.LOCK file exist?

If yes, type rm .DDMDB.LOCK and then press Enter.
Result: The system removes the lock held on the database by the
ArchMgr process.

If no, go to step 7.

Type ddm_load -i 16 and then press Enter.
Result: The message Do you want to initialize the DDM Database? appears.
