Note on Changing the Phone Background in Cisco StadiumVision Director
Stadium Vision Director includes the ability to deploy IP Phone Backgrounds. However, this method
of deployment is only recommended for the initial background graphic deployment. Note the following
guidelines before using:

• It requires that all phones are associated to a single user in CUCM.
• It requires that the Settings button on the IP Phones be enabled whenever it is invoked (security
risk), this requires a phone reset
• It requires that the phone be enabled to “allow end user changing of the backgrounds”
• It requires that the IP Phone be in a specific state at the time of launch or it may not work (must
be on call services display, if left on Directory or Settings it may not work)
• It uses simulated key presses to execute the background change, which is invasive as each
press is visible on the phone as it is being executed
• It is not capable of pushing different images to different groups of phones (ie: stadium
background on office phones versus event background on suite phones), it will either push to all
phones at once or one at a time
