Removing and Replacing Parts: Dell Inspiron 4100

The module should pop up.

 

1 JDIM 1

2 JDIM 2

3 memory module sockets (2)

4 inner tabs (2 per socket)

3.  Lift the memory module out of its socket. 

1.  If you only have one memory module, install it in the connector labeled "JDIM1" on the system 

board. Install a second memory module in the connector labeled "JDIM2." 

Memory modules are keyed, or designed to fit into their sockets, in only one 

direction.
