You can start the Dr Solomon’s Anti-Virus application in its own window, or 
as part of a scheduled scan task. The method you choose depends on what sort 
of scan operation you want to run. When you first start it, the application 
window opens so that you can make changes to its configuration. You must 
click

 in a separate step to start an actual scan 

operation.

Four separate methods exist to start the Dr Solomon’s Anti-Virus 
application—the fourth method involves running the application from the 
command line. The Dr Solomon’s Anti-Virus Administrator’s Guide lists the 
options for this method.

The next sections describe each method.
