The printer controller board ships with the following memory configuration:
The SIMM connectors numbered CN9 and CN10 are reserved for the printer’s system software 
ROM SIMM.
The SIMM connectors numbered CN7 and CN8 are reserved for the printer’s memory SIMM.
The SIMM connector numbered CN7 contains a 16 MB SIMM.
The remaining connector CN8 is empty.
Following table shows the slot numbers, and the DRAM SIMM capacities supported on this printer. 
You can install the additional DRAM SIMM into CN7 and CN8 up to 128 MB. To install a DRAM 
SIMM, you will need to remove and replace the printer cover. For instructions, see 
* This slot recognizes only half of 8 MB and 32 MB SIMMs if they are installed.
