❖ Fax mode

Press the {Facsimile} key to activate fax mode. While in fax mode, the {Facsimile}
key lights up.

❖ Function Priority

By default, copy mode is selected when the machine is turned on, or if the pre-
set [Auto Clear] time passes with no operation while the initial screen of the cur-
rent mode is displayed. You can change the selected mode using [Default Mode]
under [Admin Settings].

This machine is equipped with the following energy saving modes: Low-power
mode and Sleep mode. If the machine has been idle for a certain period of time,
the machine automatically enters an energy saving mode.
The machine recovers from Low-power mode or Sleep mode when it receives a
job, phone call, or key operation.

❖ Low-power mode

If the machine has been idle for a preset period of time, the machine enters
Low-power mode.

❖ Sleep mode

If [Power Saver] under [Admin Settings] is enabled, the machine's mode changes
from Low-power mode to Sleep mode, after the period of time specified for
this setting is passed.
Power consumption is lower in Sleep mode than in Low-power mode, but it
takes longer to recover from Sleep mode than from Low-power mode.
