Setup via the AUX Port
To set up a configuration environment by connecting the AUX port on the Router
via modem dialing, you need to attach a modem to the serial port on the PC and a
modem to the AUX port on the Router, as shown in Figure 10.

2 Dial by making use of the terminal emulation program (such as the HyperTerminal
of Windows9X) at the remote end to set up a connection with the Router. Select
the RS-232 serial port of the PC that will be used for the connection in the
terminal emulation program, set the terminal communications parameters baud
rate to 9600, data bit to 8, stop bit to 1, no check, and no flow control or
hardware control, and select VT100 as the terminal emulation type, which is the
same as the connection setup made via Console.
