Using a Keyboard
Preparing
You can connect any IBM PC-compatible
keyboards with a PS/2 interface to the recorder
to operate the recorder. A keyboard is
convenient for labeling tracks and albums.
Connecting a keyboard to the
recorder
Connect the keyboard connector to the
KEYBOARD connector on the front panel
of the recorder.
Naming a track or an
album using the keyboard
If you use a keyboard, you can quickly enter or
edit names.  While editing a name, you can
move the cursor in jumps or scroll the name.

While the recorder is in one of the
operating modes listed below, press
[Enter].
To name
Press while
A track
The track number is displayed.
An album
The recorder is stopped with
total number of tracks in an
album is displayed.
A flashing cursor appears in the display.

Enter a name.
In addition to letter keys, you can also use
the keys shown in the following table.

Press [Enter].
The whole name appears in the display.
To
Press on the keyboard
Cancel the operation
[Esc]
Switch between uppercase
and lowercase letters
[Caps Lock]
Move the cursor

Erase the character at the
cursor position
[Delete]
