ROCEDURA
Pulire i tubi portanti prima di eseguire questa operazione.
Con un piccolo cacciavite scalzare il raschiapolvere (11)
dal portastelo (6), evitando di rigare il tubo portante
(28).
Abbassare lungo il tubo portante il raschiapolvere e con
un getto di aria compressa pulire l’interno del raschiapolvere
e la sede sul portastelo.
Evitare assolutamente di utilizzare attrezzi metallici per
eliminare particelle di sporco. Far compiere agli steli una
breve corsa e rimuovere dai tubi portanti le eventuali
impurità. Lubrificare con grasso siliconato il raschiapolvere
e la superficie visibile dell’anello di tenuta.

Prima di rimuovere gli steli dalla base e dalla testa di
sterzo, con la chiave da 19 mm, allentare il tappo superiore
(1) di ogni portastelo (6).

il portastelo (6) sul tubo portante (28).

Comprimere la molla (4) fino a rendere accessibile il
controdado (12).
Riutilizzando la chiave precedentemente usata, mantenere
fermo il tappo (1) quindi sbloccare il controdado (12)
con l’altra chiave da 19 mm.

dell’asta ammortizzatore.

clean the dust seal.

ROCEDURE
Before cleaning the dust seal, clean the stanchion tubes
Remove the dust seal (11) from the slider (6). Do not
score the stanchion tube (28).
Lower the dust seal down the stanchion and clean the
inner side of the dust seal and its seat in the slider with
compressed air.
Never use metal tools to remove the dirt. Pump the slider
slightly up and down and remove any possible dirt from
the stanchions. Lubricate the dust seal and the visible
part of the oil seal.
Remove the dust seal (11) from the slider (6). Do not
score the stanchion tube (28).
Lower the dust seal down the stanchion and clean the
inner side of the dust seal and its seat in the slider with
compressed air.

Before removing the fork legs from the steering crown
and the steering head, loosen the upper plug (1) of each
slider (6) with the 19-mm wrench. Remove the fork legs
from the motorcycle.
Fully unscrew the plug (1) and lower the slider (6) down
the stanchion (28) slowly.

Compress the spring (4) until the check nut (12) can be
reached.
Keep firmly the plug (1) with the wrench previously used
and then loosen the check nut (12) with the other 19-mm
wrench.
