13. Installation of the LED sensors
This step assumes that the previous chapters have been conducted successfully.
Step 1:
For safety reasons, it should be checked whether a radio link between the display and transmitter is
established (small box with connections for the current transformers). This is the case if the symbol shown
on the display lights.
If the symbol is flashing:
• Check batteries: weak batteries result in reduced transmission power of the transmitter
• Interrupt power to the display briefly: simple communication problems are cleared by restarting.
• Reduce the distance between display and transmitter: the range is usually 30 meters indoors and overcomes two
walls or ceilings. Environmental factors or characteristics of the building may reduce the range.
• Check for metal objects near to the transmitter or display: metallic objects reduce the radio signal range.
• Check for household appliances in operation, which could cause interference in the frequency band: some
household appliances may interfere with the Ensemble devices (light dimmers, hairdryers, electronic heating
thermostats with wireless modules, etc.).
If no radio connection can be established, reset the radio network and restore the radio connection (PAIRING)
manually (see relevant chapter in the manual).
Step 2:
For meters with an optical S0 output (flashing LED) a LED sensor is provided. Installation can be done by the following
steps:
• Determining the proper LED for the sensor. Under load, this LED should flash visible.
• Cleaning of the surface of the LED and on one half of the Velcro fastening centered as much as possible.
• The other half is stuck to the sensor and attached centered to the housing.
• Fitting of the transmitter close to the sensor and connection to the correct jack on the transmitter. Note: plug must
snap in remarkably!
