Applies a preset percentage tip to a check.

q The percentage applies to the subtotal of the check and

may be taxable depending on POS Option #33.

q This function can be under manager control by setting

POS Option #55, Service Under Manager Control, to

YES.

q If more than one {SERVICE} entry is made to a check,

the amount of the last one applies to the check subtotal.

q A {SERVICE} entry can be voided as can any other check

line item.

q Separate Checks - include a {SERVICE} entry on each

separate check #.

1. Start the order and enter items or recall a check.
2. Press {SERVICE}.
3. If prompted, index Manager Code and press {ENTER}.

*SERVICE* is added as a line item to the check. A

line is added for “SERVICE” in check total data be-

tween the SUBTOT and TAX lines.

4. Press {TOTAL} or {SUBTOTAL} to verify the new check total.
