Every employee has a I.D. number known

by the system for clocking-in and clock-

ing-out. This number identifies the em-

ployee by name and job description thus

enabling authorized employees only to per-

form order entry.

During clock-in, every order-entry operator

inputs a one to three digit number unique

to them which the system remembers as

theirs until clock-out. It acts as the individ-

ual’s password into the TEC FDS Crystal

Point system to open and close checks.

A number provided by the server at order

entry or by the software for a bartender’s

order entry. Based on the restaurant’s

choice, the system could use this number

along with the Server’s I.D. Number to

track guest checks.

A number automatically assigned by the

system at order entry. Depending on the

restaurant’s choice, the system could use

The system stores all open orders as a

guest check. Additions to open checks can

be made as often as needed.

A square, cell, box or touch-pad on the key-

board that when pressed enters data or ini-

tiates a function.

Food and beverage items entered onto

checks. Sent Items are those which have

been printed at Preparation Area Printers.

Procedures, such as voiding a check or

changing price schedules, that require the

manager’s assistance.

Usually located next to a workstation, it will

print any check that is on the CRT screen

using one of several different types of print

keys. Can also print employee time cards.

Prints ordered items in the areas where

they are prepared.
