7. ALARMS
There are seven alarm conditions which gen-
erate both audible and visual alarms.
When an alarm setting is violated, the buzzer
sounds and the name of the offending alarm
appears on the display. The alarm icon also
appears on the Plotter 1, Plotter 2 and High-
way displays.

7.1 Arrival Alarm, Anchor
Watch Alarm
Arrival alarm
The arrival alarm informs you that own ship
is approaching a destination waypoint. The
area that defines an arrival zone is that of a
circle which you approach from the outside
of the circle. The alarm will be released if own
ship enters the circle.

1) Press the [MENU ESC] key.
2) Press [4] to display the ALARM SET-
TINGS menu.

3) Press ▲ or ▼ to select Arrival/Anchor.
4) Press t or s to select Arr.
5) Press  ▼ to select Alarm Range.
6) Key in alarm range (0.001–9.999 nm).
7) Press the [NU/CU ENT] key.
8) Press the [MENU ESC] key.
When own ship nears a waypoint by the range
set here, the buzzer sounds and the message
"Arrival alarm" appears. You can silence the
audible alarm by pressing the [CLEAR] key.
To erase the visual alarm, press the [CLEAR]
key again.
To disable the alarm, select Off at step 4.
