Unable to Make Settings or Print Properly
Check the following points whenever you cannot make the printer driver 
settings you want or when you cannot get the printing results you want.
Poor Print Quality
Check the following points whenever print quality is poor.
If the above steps do not correct the problem, see the manual that comes 
with the Di620/520 for other steps you can take.
Symptom

Cannot select an item in the 
printer driver.
You are trying to use settings 
in combinations that are not 
allowed.
Make other settings. Any 
item that is gray out is 
disabled and cannot be 
selected.
Conflict dialog box on the 
computer screen.
A conflict exists between two 
or more settings you have 
made.
Check the combination of 
settings and make any 
necessary corrections.
Cannot get desired printing 
results.
Printer driver settings may 
be wrong.
Check all your printer driver 
settings.
Cannot print a watermark.
Watermark settings may be 
incorrect.
Check Watermark settings 
and make necessary 
corrections.
The watermark is too light.
Check the watermark 
Shading value in the 
Watermark dialog box. 
Increasing the Shading value 
makes the watermark 
darker.

Print density is not set

In the “Quality” tab, click the  
button. Use the Graphics 
dialog box that appears to 
adjust contrast and 
brightness.
Gray areas are not shaded

button. Use the Graphics 
dialog box that appears to 
change the dither pattern 
setting.

grayed out with certain
