Release Notes for Cisco MeetingPlace IP Gateway Release 5.2

  Documentation Updates
Condition: Participants using Cisco IP phones cannot place a call to Cisco MeetingPlace on hold; 
otherwise, the call is disconnected. 
CR22580
Symptom: Registry settings are reset after upgrading IP gateway software.
Condition: An upgrade to the MeetingPlace IP Gateway resets the configuration settings to the 
default values.

The fifth bulleted paragraph in Network Requirements has been changed to: 
The secondary Ethernet connections (those connected to the Multi Access Blade, and not the 
second Ethernet port on the CPU card) on MeetingPlace must be connected to the same subnet 
as your corporate network where your IP phone is connected. For optimal voice quality, the 
ethernet switch port (or any other network devices) that the Multi Access Blade connects to 
directly must be set to 100Base-TX Full Duplex.

The following text was added to the Step 4 note on Worksheet 3-1: Installing MeetingPlace IP 
Gateway:
The ethernet switch port (or any other network devices) that the Multi Access Blade connects 
to directly must be set to fixed 100Base-TX Full Duplex.

Step 1 in the “IP Ports Do Not Answer” section now states:
Check that the ethernet switch port (or any other network devices) that the Multi Access Blade 
connects to directly is set to fixed 100Base-TX Full Duplex.
Subsequent steps have been renumbered.

Step 1 in the “IP Calls Connect But No Audio Is Heard” section has been changed to:
Verify the subnet mask address is correct using the blade command. If it is not, MeetingPlace 
will not be able to send voice packets to the phone. A MeetingPlace audio server restart is 
necessary for any changes to take affect.
Subsequent steps have been renumbered.
