Appendix A  Customizing Meeting Notifications 

Cisco MeetingPlace for Notes System Manager’s Guide

NotifyCancel.tpl—Used to generate cancellation notices for 
meetings that have been canceled using MeetingTime or 
MeetingPlace Web.

NotifyNoShowRecur.tpl—Used to generate no show reminder 
notifications for recurring meetings as configured with 
System Manager Agents.

NotifyRenewRecur.tpl—Used to generate renew meeting 

reminder notifications for recurring meetings as configured 
with System Manager Agents.  

Template files for notifications generated as a result of meetings 
scheduled using MeetingPlace Web or MeetingTime are located 
in <drive>:\Latitude\\MeetingPlace for Notes Gateway. 

Within each of these templates are tags and text that identify the 
information that should appear in a notification. As a notification 
is being generated, the Notes gateway or MeetingPlace system 
replaces the tags with the appropriate information from its 
database.

To customize the template files:

1.  Using Notepad, open the .tpl template file you want to 

customize.

Note: System Manager Agent reminder notifications are 
generated automatically according to parameters configured in 
MeetingTime. 

WARNING: Using a word processing program other than 
Notepad can change the template’s file extension and produce an 
unreadable meeting notification. Notepad is able to automatically 
save a template without changing its .tpl extension.
