Before removing the audio board, follow these steps:

Shut down the computer. If you are unsure whether the computer is off or in Hibernation, turn the

computer on, and then shut it down through the operating system.

Disconnect all external devices connected to the computer.

Disconnect the power from the computer by first unplugging the power cord from the AC outlet and

then unplugging the AC adapter from the computer.

Remove the battery (see 

Remove the following components:

. Switch cover (see 

. Keyboard (see 

. Speaker assembly (see

Display assembly (see 

)

. Top cover (see 

. System board (see 

Remove the audio board:

Remove the two Phillips PM2.5×4.0 screws (1) that secure the audio board to the computer.

Release the audio board (2) by sliding it back to disengage the audio connectors from the openings

in the base enclosure.
