Alternatively, automatic SMS processing can be set, changed or de-
leted using the terminal program. 
Each incoming SMS is deleted after it has been processed. 
Only incoming SMS messages with a command to the INSYS GPRS 
5.0 serial are deleted – remote SMS are left in the buffer -. 
6.4.2  Reading interval 
The reading interval can be set with a command from  
20 to 60 seconds. 
 
Alternatively, the GSM reading interval can be changed using the 
terminal program. 
Note:  Due to different GSM/GPRS network structures it may occur 
that the provider cannot deliver any SMS to the GSM/GPRS 
engine while data packets are sent/received via GPRS (this re-
lates to standard GPRS calls and “TCP transparent” calls via 
GPRS). 
Experience shows that an SMS is only sent during data 
transmission intervals larger than 30 seconds. 
6.4.3  Syntax 
SMS messages intended for the INSYS GPRS 5.0 serial must have the 
following syntax: 
[<password>,]<command>[,CN: [<callbacknumber>]]

Configuration via SMS, with confirmation 
Note:  Between CN: <phonenumber> a space character must 
be inserted. If no phone number is entered after CN: no 
phone number, the response will automatically be sent 
to the sender. 
Configuration via SMS if the INSYS GPRS 5.0 serial is protected by a
