About the Vanguard 6435/6455

Vanguard Daughtercards
These standard Vanguard Daughtercards are currently supported by the Vanguard 
6435 and Vanguard 6455:

• 56K DSU/CSU

• DIM (X.21/V.24/V.35/V.36)

• ISDN BRI-U

• ISDN and enhanced ISDN BRI-S/T

• 1-Port Voice (FXS/FXO)

• 2-Port Voice FXS 

• Dual E&M

• 4-Port FXS

• 4-Port FXO

• RemoteVU (video) 

• FT1/FE1

• V.34 Modem

• V.90 Modem

Release 6.2 or greater software is required for the V.90 modem.

section in Chapter 2. For detailed information about installing the Vanguard 
Daughtercards refer to the Vanguard Daughtercard Installation Guide 
(Part Number T0020).

Enhanced Vanguard Daughtercards
One Enhanced Vanguard Daughtercard is currently supported by the Vanguard 6435 
and Vanguard 6455: 10/100BaseT Enhanced Vanguard Daughtercard.

Vanguard Daughtercards” section in Chapter 2.

For detailed information about installing the Enhanced Vanguard Daughtercards

Option Card (Vanguard 6455 only)
The 6455 supports two option cards:

• SDB 4-port Sync/Async 

• Token Ring

Vanguard 6435/6455 supports all the licenses in the Vanguard Applications Ware 
software suite.
