                                                                                ADSL TESTER D2061 
 
CUG (Closer User Group): This supplementary service is used to define a closed 
group of users and create a private virtual network, in which only the members can 
communicate. Set the Closed User Group (CUG) value between: 
•  No request: CUG service is not requested 
•  Inside: to call a member of the CUG 
•  Outside: to call a user that doesn't belong to any CUG 
•  User (x): to call a user that belongs to a different CUG, enter the CUG 
identification 
Protocol: choose your local ISDN protocol. 
 
Set the “LEASED LINE” value to perform tests without signalling 
protocol over the D channel, i.e. Unframed BER. Use the 
“OTHER” parameter to capture signalling protocols not directly 
supported by the instrument in Monitor mode. See chapter 7. 
Protocol type: Define the operation mode of the active protocol between Master and 
Slave. When you select the instrument operation mode, i.e. TE or NT, the “Protocol 
type” parameter will be automatically set with the typical value for the configuration. 
 
This parameter only should be changed in case of special use of 
the instrument. 
CDN(type/plan): choose ‘Type of number’ and ‘Numbering plan’ combination for the 
Called Party Number. 
CGN(type/plan): choose ‘Type of number’ and ‘Numbering plan’ combination for the 
Calling Party Number.  
Add 100 
Ωterminations: choose if you want to add a 100 Ω termination. You can 
use this option if the line at this point is not terminated correctly. The default value is 
NO. 
Calls accept: select the incoming calls that will be automatically answered. 
3.3.2. POTS access 
 
The following parameters can be defined in the COMMON 
SETUP for the POTS access termination. 
Select the line impedance value according with local loop impedance.
