Bridge Priority—Assign a priority value to the MSTP instance. After
exchanging BPDUs, the switch with the lowest priority value becomes the
root bridge. Specify a bridge priority from 0–61440. The default value
is 32768.
STEP  4
Click Apply and then click Close. Your changes are saved to the Running
Configuration.
The newly configured MSTP instance appears in the table along with the following
settings:
Designated Root Bridge ID—The bridge ID of the bridge with the lowest
priority value for this MST instance. When more than one bridge has the
lowest priority value, the bridge with the lowest ID becomes the root
bridge.
Root Port—Port identifier on the Designated Root Bridge that offers the
lowest cost to the root bridge for this MST instance. It is made up from the
port priority and the interface number of the port.
Root Path Cost—Total cost of the path to the root port for this MST instance.
Bridge ID—Bridge ID of the selected MST instance. It is made up using the
bridge priority and the base MAC address of the bridge.
