Privacy Type—If MD5 Key or SHA Key is selected as the Authentication 
Method, you can select one of the following to specify the encryption type. 
If MD5 Password or SHA Password is selected as the Authentication 
Method, you must select one of the following to specify the encryption type. 
-
None—No privacy key is used.
-
aes—An Advanced Encryption Standard password is used, from 1–32 
characters.
-
aes-key—A pregenerated 32-character AES key is used.
-
des—A Data Encryption Standard password is used, from 1–32 
characters.
-
des-key—A pregenerated 32-character DES key is used.
Privacy Key—If MD5 Key or SHA Key is selected as the authentication 
method, specify a privacy key that corresponds to the selected privacy 
type.
STEP  3
Click Apply and then click Close. Your changes are saved to the running 
configuration.
Configuring SNMP Communities
You can use the Communities page to manage SNMPv1 and SNMPv2 user access 
rights by defining communities. Communities do not affect SNMPv3 access. 
A community defines a range of IP addresses for allowable SNMP hosts and 
associates Read/Write privileges to that range. You can define up to eight 
communities. When the community names are changed, access rights are also 
changed.
To display this page, click SNMP > Communities in the navigation window.
