• The cassette tape cannot be ejected.

nThe power source is

disconnected while operating.
Connect the power source, press
p , and slide the EJECT switch
upward.

• The BASS BOOST feature does not

function.

nA cord is connected to the LINE

OUT jack.
Remove the cord.

• Recording cannot be done.

nConnection is incorrect.
nRecording level is set at

minimum (while manual
recording).

nThe cassette is record-protected.

(The red tab on the cassette tape
is pushed down.)
Push the white tab on the
opposite side of the cassette with
a pointed object.   When the red
tab is visible on the side you
want to record on, recording can
be done.

• Sound is not heard at all.

nConnection is incorrect.
nThe volume is set at minimum.

Adjust the volume pressing the
+ (volume) button.

• Cannot increase the volume.

nThe AVLS function is activated.

Slide the AVLS switch to OFF.

• Increase of noise or deterioration of

sound.

nThe recorder is placed near noise

sources such as a TV set.
Place the recorder away from
noise sources.

nThe tape head is not clean.

Clean the head using the
cleaning cassette NTC-10CL.

• The clock does not keep good time.

nThe lithium battery is weak.

Replace it with a new one.

• Correct date and time are not

recorded on the tape.

nThe date and time have not been

set.
Set the date and time.
