IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS:
•This portable luminaire has a polarized plug (one bale is wider than the other) as a feature to reduce the risk
of electric shock. This plug will fi t in a polarized outlet only one way. If the plug does not fi t fully in the
outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not fi t, Contact a qualifi ed electrician. Never use with an extension
cord unless plug can be fully inserted. Do not alter the plug.
•These instructions are provided for your safety. It is important that they are read carefully and completely
before assembly of this lighting fi xture.
• This fi xture has been rated for up to (1) 60-WATT MAXIMUM TYPE A bulb OR 13 WATT compact fl uorescent
bulb (included in box for lamps). To avoid the risk of fi re, do not exceed the recommended wattage.
• Note : For your safety, if using shades, use only those with a minimum opening diameter and minimum
lamp-to-shade spacing meeting the measurements specifi ed in the Alternate Shade include with these
instructions.
Warning:
•To reduce the risk of fi re, electrical shock, or personal injury, always turn off light fi xture and unplug, allow
it to cool prior to replacing light bulb.
•Do not touch bulb when fi xture is turned on. Do not look directly at lit bulb.
•Keep fl ammable materials away from lit bulb.

Pre-assembly:
•For your safety and convenience, assembly by two people is recommended.
•Remove all parts and hardware from box along with any plastic protective packaging.

Do not discard any contents until after assembly is complete to avoid accidentally discarding small parts or hardware.
Parts Enclosed:
•(1) Lamp base (G) with pre-assembled:
o(1) Two-pronged saddle (F)
o(1) Socket (E)
•(1) Harp (C) with:
o(2) Harp caps (D)
o(1) Harp threads (B)
•(1) Finial (A)
•(1) 13Watt CFL Bulb(H)
•(1) Lamp base (G) with pre-assembled:

o(2) Harp caps (D)

To Assemble:
1.Gently squeeze both sides of the harp (C) and insert the ends into the saddle (F).
Lower the two harp caps (D) until they cover the two-pronged saddle on the lamp
base (G).
2.Remove fi nial (A) from the harp (C).
3.Place lamp shade over the assembled harp and align the harp nipple (B) with the
opening at the top of the shade so that he nipple protrudes through the opening.
4.Attach fi nial (A) and to secure the shade.
5.Insert bulb (not included) into threaded socket (E).
6.Plug into proper electrical outlet and test fi xture.
7.Assembly is complete.

3.Place lamp shade over the assembled harp and align the harp nipple (B) with the
opening at the top of the shade so that he nipple protrudes through the opening.
4.Attach fi nial (A) and to secure the shade.
5.Insert bulb (not included) into threaded socket (E).
6.Plug into proper electrical outlet and test fi xture.
7.Assembly is complete.
