Mode of action and setting of throttle/brake linkage
With the throttle/brake linkage, two functions are carried out at the same time via two servo steering levers that are offset by 90°.
By adjusting the “carburettor slide” through the throttle linkage, the air supply to the engine is controlled. At the same time the idle nozzle needle (tapered needle
of a needle valve) is moved and therefore the amount of fuel that is flowing through the carburettor is changed. If the throttle linkage is moved further than the idle
position (mechanical limit stop of the carburettor slide), the servo lever pushes against a spring buffer.
Now the sphere of action of the brake linkage comes to effect, it presses the brake shoes of the disc brakes together via an eccentric tappet.
The positioning of the adjustment rings (the mechanical limit stops) of the stop springs on the throttle linkage and the break linkage were set in the factory.  They
are attuned to the mechanical stops of the carburettor and the disc brakes. The throttle/brake linkage should not need any final adjustment.
However, set collars may become loose in operation and must be retightened.
If the brake drags, the brake pads wear off as well as the brake disk.
In order to ensure that the brake is completely released, make sure that the brake control lever is located at a distance of approx. 1 mm between the set collars
on the brake rods.
Throttle/brake servo function test
• Move the lever of the remote control (channel 2) towards the back (full throttle position). The carburettor slide must now be completely pulled out, the
carburettor outlet opened to its maximum. The brakes have no impact.
• If the carburettor slide does not respond to the remote control, switch the servo reverse for channel 2 to “REV” to reverse the rotating direction.
• If the slide carburettor only opens partly, correct the servo travel at the trim (channel 2) of the remote control transmitter.
• Release the lever of the remote control.
Now the slide carburettor must go back to the idle speed position (carburettor outlet opened to approx. 1 mm).
The brake has no function still .
• Press the lever of the remote control forward as far as it will go (braking).
The slide carburettor must remain in the idle speed position (carburettor outlet opened to approx. 1 mm).
The servo lever at the carburettor linkage pulls against a spring resistance, the servo lever at the brake linkage operates the brake levers.
• Release the lever of the remote control again; now the brakes should release again.
• You can adjust the brake linkage by moving the adjustment rings at the brake link lever accordingly.
l) Installing the Aerial
After checking the functions and the servo, the aerial can be installed permanently in the receiver box on the chassis.
• Guide the aerial wire of the receiver from the inside through the boring in the lid of
the box and afterwards through the aerial guidance tube.
• Plug the aerial guide pipe into the support on the outside of the cover and secure
the aerial cable at the top at the guidance tube. Shorten the aerial tube but not the
aerial cable.
• Make sure that the lid for changing the rechargeable batteries can still be opened
easily after fixing the aerial wires (don’t pull wire out too far).
• Never shorten the aerial cable of the receiver, try not to bind it together! This re-
duces the range.
