Connecting Antennas
This section explains how to connect the supplied indoor DAB/FM antenna.
The CD receiver won’t pick up any radio signals if no antenna is connected, so you must connect the antenna to use
the tuner.
Note:
• Once your CD receiver is ready for use, you’ll need to tune into a radio station and position the antenna to achieve
the best possible reception.
• Use thumbtacks to fix the position of the included DAB/FM antenna so that it will have no slack and achieve the
best possible reception. In general, locations near windows will be better for reception.
Tip:
• If you cannot achieve good reception with the supplied indoor DAB/FM antenna, try a commercially available
outdoor DAB or FM antenna instead.
If you cannot achieve good reception with the supplied
indoor DAB/FM antenna, try a commercially available
outdoor DAB or FM antenna instead.
Note:
• For installation of the outdoor antenna, consult an
able expert.
• For best results, install the outdoor antenna well away
from tall buildings, preferably with a clear line of
sight to your local transmitter.
• Outdoor antenna should be located away from
possible noise sources, such as neon signs, busy
roads, etc.
• For safety reasons, outdoor antenna should be
situated well away from power lines and other high-
voltage equipment.
• Outdoor antenna must be grounded in accordance
with local regulations to prevent electrical shock
hazards.
